PADI Speciality - Deep Diver                                                                                                                                                                       

It's not a long way down,  it's along back way up.  Take your diving to a new level and to a new maximum depth of 40 meters.   This course is designed to introduce you to deeper dives with the support of  an experienced PADI Instructor who will accompany you.   You will learn the skills and techniques necessary to safely participate in deeper dives. 

Requirements:    PADI  Adventure Certification or equivalent

Equipment:    All equipment will be provided as well as course materials and certification.  

 

Duration:   1 theory class + 4 dives which may be taken over a weekend

Cost:  200. 

 

Qualification:   Allows you to dive to a maximum depth of 40 metres, depending on experience and qualification of your dive buddy

PADI Speciality - Wreck Diver                        Top of Page               

Take the mystery out of wreck diving.  Learn how to research, plan and execute  wreck dives, all while you are enjoying 4 dives under the guidance of professional instructors.  Whether this will be your first wreck or not, there is plenty to learn.  Every wreck has it's own history; delve into it's past to enjoy your dive more.

Requirements:    PADI  Adventure Certification or equivalent

Equipment:    All equipment will be provided as well as course materials and certification.  

 

Duration:   1 theory class + 4 dives which may be taken over a weekend

Cost:  200

 

Qualification:   Allows you to enjoy the fascinating world of sea wrecks

PADI Speciality - Night Diver                                           Top of Page                        

Why would you want to dive after dark?  It's the best time to view underwater creatures, many only come out at night to feed.  Sure you might find Congor Eels, lobsters and shrimp during the day but at night they all come out of their hiding places.  This course is designed to introduce you to night diving with the support of  an experienced PADI Instructor who will accompany on your dives.  You will be taught the necessary skills and knowledge to plan for a safe night dive.  You will learn how to control your buoyancy, navigate and communicate at night.

Requirements:    PADI  Open Water Certification or equivalent

Equipment:    All equipment will be provided as well as course materials and certification.

 

Duration:   1 theory class + 3 dives which may be taken over a weekend or spread over a longer period

Cost:  175.  If you completed this dive on your Advanced Course you may receive credit for it towards this course

 

Qualification:   Allows you to plan and conduct dives at night and in poor visibility

PADI Speciality - Dry Suit Diver                                      Top of Page             

Imagine staying warm and cosy on all dives and allowing you to dive at home all through the winter.   And then there's the advantage of not having to put a cold wet suit back on after your break and being able to hop into the car in your under-suit and drive home.  Learn how to use a dry-suit safely and expertly.  Skills are taught in confined water and then practiced at sea to fine tune your buoyancy

Requirements:    PADI  Open Water Certification or equivalent

Equipment:    course materials and certification are provided but you must have your own dry-suit

 

Duration:   1 pool session + 2 open water dives which may be taken over a 1 day

Cost:  150. 

 

Qualification:   Allows you to stay comfortable on dives such as deeper dives, multiple daily dives , diving in winter

Are you amazed how other divers can float easily in mid water?  Or maybe you want to improve your air consumption rate.  Perhaps you have discover underwater photography or are an environmentally aware diver who is concerned about damaging aquatic life.  Whatever the reason, you will  fine tune your buoyancy on this course and learn to dive effortlessly.  You will enjoy diving even more after taking this course

PADI Speciality Search & Recovery Diver  Top of Page                

Ever lost something valuable at sea, or had someone on land plead with you to find their watch,  engagement ring, outboard motor?  On this course you will learn the skills and procedures to conduct underwater searches safely for both small and larger items.  You will also learn the procedures for safely recovering objects and raising them from the sea bed and practice  with  specialist equipment

Duration:   1 theory class + 1 pool practice + 4 dives which may be taken over 2 days

PADI Speciality - Underwater Photography Diver        Top of Page                      

Fill your home and office with sunning underwater photos to remind you of the great weekend away or even that dive trip of a lifetime.  And  let others view the glory of the underwater world and see why we love diving so much.  With camera packs becoming ever more affordable everyone is taking up photography.  On this course you will learn abut cameras, housings and maintenance.  You will learn and practice the skills necessary to take good photos underwater and then you  will learn with the right application of modern technology you can make them great photos.

Requirements:    PADI  Open Water Certification or equivalent

Equipment:    All equipment will be provided as well as course materials and certification.   If you already have an underwater camera you may prefer to use that.  Your own lap-top would also be useful but not essential

 

Duration:   1 theory class + 1 pool practice + 2 dives which may be taken over a day

Cost:  225 

 

Qualification:   Allows you to capture your underwater adventures on film and to enhance those photos later

So you've seen James Bond on his underwater scooter and fancy a go at that!  The scooter or Diver Propulsion Vehicle (DPV)  is not just a toy although they are great fun.  They are useful on large wrecks such as The Kowloon Bridge, or for shore diving.  You will learn how to dive safely using DPVs and how to care and maintain a unit

Requirements:    PADI  Open Water Certification or equivalent

Equipment:    All equipment will be provided as well as course materials and certification.  

 

Duration:   1 theory class + 2 dives which may be taken over a day

 Tired of blindly following the pack but you don't have the confidence to lead.  Take this course to learn how to use advanced  techniques including natural and compass navigation.  These are extremely useful skills to use in conditions of poor visibility or at night.

PADI Speciality - Enriched Air Diver                         Top of Page 

Ever wish you could stay underwater longer to further explore that wreck or take more photos.  It's the nitrogen in our air that often limits how long we can spend underwater, so why not breathe in less of it.  Nitrox/enriched air replaces some of that nitrogen with oxygen and  may considerably extend your dive time.  This course covers equipment use, dive planning safety issues.

Requirements:    PADI  Open Water Certification or equivalent

Qualification:   Allows you to extend our dive time using enriched air up to 40 % Oxygen
